Legendary head coach Rich Niedbala guided the Pennsylvania team that was led by quarterback Mike Hagg and hard charging running back Todd Muntean and lightning fast running back Rodney Lawson. Other standouts included Jeff Czartoryski, Tim McCauley, Pat Rooney, Tom Zuba, Keith Wagner, Kevin Kirkland and Kent McDermott.

Ohio countered with quarterback Bill Lonnis, running backs Bob Magyaros and Dan Carlson and wide receiver Curt Brooks.
