Shenango head coach Frank Bongivengo countered with quarterback Doug Peters, running backs Ron McClymonds, Barry Threats and receivers Dale Ross and Jeff Perdue. Other standout players for the Wildcats included Jamie Stock, Jim Locke, Jay Bruce, Bernie Jaworowski and Mark Hobrat.
